The Rady Center

Current Centre City Site

Site Redeveloped as The Rady Center

A Beacon of Light is on The Horizon

The Salvation Army’s downtown Rady Center is moving forward with construction.

We recognize the dire need to increase services and support for people either at-risk of experiencing homelessness or who are homeless. Ernest and Evelyn Rady are generously contributing $20 million for construction in addition to funding an endowment for the Rady Center.

Thanks to additional tremendous donor support, The Salvation Army has secured over $50 million to launch our vision of the Rady Center.

  • Redevelopment of one full-square block The Salvation Army owns in downtown San Diego
  • 200,000 square feet: Housing, support service buildings and existing Salvation Army Silvercrest Senior Residences

Making a difference

"We have great confidence in this organization, so we are happy to put our resources in their hands and we look forward to a successful conclusion. I'm really proud of what we're doing." -Mr. Ernest Rady, Philanthropist

Naming Opportunities

Leave a lasting impact through meaningful spaces.
Community Courtyard

The Rady Center: Where Your Name Can Change Lives

Secure your legacy with a transformational campaign gift to the Rady Center. A limited number of naming opportunities remain, offering a powerful and lasting way to make an impact in preventing and ending homelessness in our community.
Donors may select a naming opportunity through a gift made:

  • In your own name
  • In honor or memory of a loved one
  • In recognition of your company or foundation

Each named space includes permanent recognition with a plaque displayed in the room or area you choose, honoring you—or your designee—as a transformational leader whose commitment will be felt for decades to come.
Naming opportunities begin at $50,000 and range to $1,000,000 and above. Opportunities are limied and are being claimed quickly—your soonest commitment ensures the greatest choice.
