Summer means time for Adventure!

Summer Camp for kids and teens aged 8-17 years old.

Camp Daley provides a week-long residential camping experience for children ages 8-17 (certain camps will have different ages). While at camp youth will have the opportunity to enjoy a fun and safe environment where they can learn independence, team work and build new friendships. In addition they will enjoy evening campfires, inspiring chapel services, swimming, organized recreational activities, arts and crafts, and more. All of this while enjoying God's creation and learning about His presence in their lives! 

Each week-long camping session will follow a different theme including Music Camps, SAY Camp, Sports Camp, etc. Our fully trained and background-checked staff are dedicated to ensuring a safe, supportive environment where kids and teens can grow, explore, and make lasting memories!

Thanks to the generosity of local donors and foundations, the cost to families starts at $25 per week/per camper, which includes transportation to camp, accommodation, food and all activities.

This year, we're excited to offer six unique, themed week-long camps, each packed with fun, faith, and adventure! Camp themes and age groups vary, so there's something for everyone. Availability and specific dates are determined by the Salvation Army location closest to your ZIP code.

Camp Daley | Ages 8 – 12 

Ever dreamed of campfires, new friendships and adventures in the great outdoors? Then Camp Daley week is for you! A classic summer camp experience that incorporates all of the fun a week away can involve. From the crystal clear water of the swimming pool to the giant swings by the field, there is something for everyone. Craft huts, adventure courses, team games, night programs, meals served family style and a staff ready to welcome your child for the best week they can imagine!

Adventure SAY Camp | Ages 8 – 12 

Youth will have the opportunity to learn new skills, earn badges (similar to Scouting programs) and explore the great outdoors! They will enjoy evening campfires, group games, outdoor sports and play, free time, arts and crafts, amazing food and more!

Music Camp | Ages 8 – 17

Music camp is a combination of music ensembles and music discovery. Campers with experience in music join ensembles such as brass band, choir, and percussion. Along with rigorous music programs is a whole lot of fun, and campers will enjoy all of excitement of campfire, free time, making new friends and great food!

Teen Wilderness | Ages 13 – 17

An active exploration camp which involves hiking, rock-climbing, and mountain biking. They stay in basic bunkhouse accommodation and then usually have one night sleeping outdoors (weather conditions permitting). It’s a high energy camp that is specifically designed for older youth and a good mix of fun and challenge, with encouraging Bible based discussion times!

Teen Camp | Ages 13 – 17

Camp Daley is having a Teen takeover! For the first time we have a whole week at our main campsite just for teens, where they can enjoy a week unplugged in the outdoors, without the rigorous side of Wilderness! Without phones and electronics, your teen can reconnect with activities they enjoy, strengthen relationship building with peers, get moving and simply relax. 

SAY Wilderness| Ages 13 – 17

An active exploration camp which involves hiking, rock-climbing, and mountain biking. They stay in basic bunkhouse accommodation and then usually have one night sleeping outdoors (weather conditions permitting). It’s a high energy camp that is specifically designed for older youth and a good mix of fun and challenge, with encouraging Bible based discussion times!

Where is camp located?

The Salvation Army, Lawrence M. Daley Camp is settled in Malibu Canyon near Tapia Park. Note that Camp has not been impacted by the recent fires in LA county. All campers are transported to Camp Daley in air-conditioned charter buses.

Encouraging Kids in a Safe Welcoming Environment is our Aim

Camp Daley is a Christian Camp. As such, there are encouraging faith-based elements throughout the camps, such as worship songs and bible stories during campfires, and prayers before meals. However, all children are very welcome regardless of their beliefs.
