Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego serves free Christmas Dinner
Helping neighbors in need this holiday season
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – (December) 2017 – Manchester Grand Hyatt, in partnership with The Salvation Army, will be serving Christmas breakfast on Monday Dec. 4, and Tuesday, Dec. 5, at The Salvation Army in downtown San Diego, 825 7th Avenue.
In its 22nd year, Grand Hyatt San Diego returns to serve those who need it most in downtown. A spread of locally sourced cage-free eggs, natural bacon, potatoes, fresh fruit and home-made biscuits will be served to guests while Christmas decorations and music fill the room with holiday joy.
Guests will be seen with grins on their faces as they enjoy the gourmet meal they so rarely receive. While the primary guests for the event are San Diego’s neighbors in need, all are invited to enjoy this delectable breakfast.

Monday, December 4 7:00 am – 10:30 am
Tuesday, December 5 7:00 am – 10:30 am
Grand Hyatt San expects to serve over 600 people each day, throughout the morning.
"It’s especially meaningful to be able to give back to our local community by providing a warm meal and holiday cheer during this festive season,” says Matt Adams, Area Vice President and General Manager of Grand Hyatt San Diego.
Each year, more people grow hungry in San Diego and the homeless count increases. Every week day, The Salvation Army serves breakfast to dozens of seniors and dinner to over 100 people who need a warm meal. For both days, chefs at Grand Hyatt San Diego provide a gourmet meal for those who come.
“Those who come to us for meals seldom have the opportunity to eat such a nice meal,” says Captain Monica Covert, pastor and administrator of the downtown Salvation Army. “It’s so special to have the Grand Hyatt San Diego volunteer their time and resources to give back to the community through this breakfast.”
