Turning A Family's Life Around
When Linda and her husband had just one child, Linda was able to work full-time at a hotel restaurant, and the family could meet ends meet. But when her sons were born less than two years apart, Linda had to leave her job to care for all three children.
Suddenly their budget shrank dramatically. They had to depend on her husband's salary at a healthcare facility. Linda worried about being able to pay for food, utilities and housing expenses. They couldn't afford things like special Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and toys.
But thanks to friends like you, The Salvation Army provides Linda's family with nourishing food, a special Thanksgiving meal and toys and holiday food at Christmas. "It's a blessing to have this help," says Linda.
Linda is grateful for everything she receives. "It's a weight taken off my back," says Linda. "I know it comes from a good heart, a good place." That's so important to her.
Linda wants you to know how much your support means to her family. "You helped someone, " she says with a smile. And Linda hopes her kids will recognize that positive impact and be able to give back to the community. "Hopefully, one day they will help other people."
