The mission of Club 60 is to promote the spiritual, physical, emotional and social well-being of seniors and to involve them in all aspects of community life. The gift of longer life means more time to travel, learn, try out new careers, and give something back to the community. Living longer can sometimes lead to greater need and vulnerability in later years. Salvation Army Corps Community Centers are a valuable resource to access and address all of these issues.
The Salvation Army respects and appreciates senior citizens and reaches out to help keep seniors healthy, active, and fulfilled.
Our senior programs include nutritious meals at our five Senior Dining & Social Centers, activities from dancing to bingo, fellowship, and much, much more. There is no charge for the meals, but a contribution of up to $2.00 is suggested and there is a non-senior fee of $4.00. Come. Partake. Join our fellowship!
The Salvation Army Senior Dining Program is partially funded by the Older Americans Act fund, provided through the County of San Diego Aging and Independence Services. Those eligible for participation are seniors, 60 years and older. Eligibility follows the AIS Senior Nutrition Program guidelines. No eligible person will be denied a meal because of failure or inability to contribute regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin or disability.
